Weekend Getaways

We had a very adventurous weekend. On Friday Haley, Grandma Jean and I went to Navasota to check out the flowers at Martha's Bloomers. While they didn't have too many flowers out yet, we did manage to have some lunch with Uncle John who drove down from Aggieland. Haley loved her Uncle John, just staring at him and smiling. She also loves being outside in the fresh air and she did great the entire time.

Outside in the sun

On Saturday we enjoyed the nice weather at Lake Conroe.

On Sunday Haley experienced south Houston for the first time. We met up with Ryan and Annie at their house near the Galleria first then we all drove down to Friendswoods to see Ryan's parents and grandma. Haley was showing off her standing ability to The Thompson's. After a nice lunch we drove down to Galveston. As soon as we managed to hit the Seawall, the fog rolled in. What a bummer! So we decided to go to Kemah instead. But first we stopped at a Kroger so I could use the restroom and Ryan and Annie got their first dose of parenting! When Matt and I came outside from Kroger's we hear Haley screaming and Annie doing her best to calm her down. Haley was just tired and wanted to get out of her car seat. Annie did great job trying to calm her and eventually she went back to sleep. Hopefully she didn't scare Ryan and Annie away from having kids in the future :) We eventually made it to Kemah for a few drinks then back home. What a good weekend!
