I'm apologizing in advance for all the pictures this post. We celebrated Easter a lot this year! The first Easter celebration started with a pajama party at the kids school.
Haley was excited to show off her new night night gown and Jackson was just trying to figure out what is going on.
Sweet sister and brother
Next up was Easter service and egg hunt at church. We decided to beat the crowds and go to service on Good Friday. Grandma, Uncle John and Uncle Nathan also joined us.
Again Jackson wasn't too sure what was going on. Daddy was trying to coach him along the way. Haley was getting pointers from Uncle Nathan

And we're off! Haley searching for the purple eggs...
Action shot
You want me to do what with that Daddy?
I'm cleaning up with the purple ones!
After the hunt Jackson was getting some lessons for next time. He's practicing his grab and run technique
Wow Haley! Look at all those eggs. Great job.
Family photo time.
Tickle tickle
I love how Haley is looking at her baby brother. Too sweet
Saturday we took a break from hunting and I took the kids to the zoo while Matt was finishing up putting radiant barrier in the attic. The kids had fun and Haley even got to feed the giraffes! We love the zoo.
Easter morning we spent at our house enjoying Easter baskets and another egg hunt for the kids. This was the first year we had done one at the house and the kids had so much fun.
By now Haley was in full egg hunting swing not leaving any for Jackson!
This illustrates the differences between Haley and Jackson. Notice Haley is careful not to get dirty. Jackson, on the other hand, would have been right in the mulch!
Wow, even more eggs!!!
Haley did leave a few for Jackson too.
In the afternoon our street gets together and does another hunt at the neighborhood park followed by a brunch. I love our street! The kids lined up from youngest to oldest. Jackson lead the way followed by Haley.
Go Jackson, Go!
Run, Run Haley
Haley was a pro finding all the eggs
There's one!
Jackson was more interested in throwing his eggs to Daddy
Look at that form. Maybe baseball is in his future?
The Princess with her full basket
The Prince just being a Prince
The Happy Street kids
During the brunch the kids went swimming and Jackson had a run in with the pool. Poor little guy got a good one over his eye.
After the fun festivities of the morning and afternoon we hit up Grandma's house. Haley and Grandma made a bunny cake.
Silly girl with jelly bean ears!
Here is the inspiration for the cake:
And here is Haley's masterpiece. Beautiful. She was so cute. The computer turned off at one point and she asked if it could be turned on so she can look at the picture again.
Then it was time to open Easter baskets again. Jackson was napping so he opened his later.
Swimming time! Haley having lots of fun with Uncle John.
Jumping girl!
Jackson working on his swimming
This is fun!!!
Weeeeeee!
Shooting hoops
Uncle Mark helping Jackson swim. He is going to be a fish just like his sister!
What a blessed Easter we had. Besides being with our family, the best part was hearing Haley tell us the story of Easter. I was so impressed our little girl new the true reason for Easter. So proud of her and everything she is learning. We hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones too!
